Recently the use of a laser of microentomology needles to stimulate collagen a melanin repigmentation has been under current research with the American Institute of Permanent Color Technology with Adrianna Scheibner, MD and Margot Schweifler, RN. This process is designated as Multitrepannic Actuation (MCA), derived from the Greek word, trypanon--to bore. The researchers claim a consistent success ratio with MCA for the treatment of vitiligo. Further publications on the process are pending.
