Micronews® was introduced in 2000 as the first color publication by a non-profit organization for micropigmentation (cosmetic tattooing, permanent makeup).

Micronews® is the official publication of the American Academy of Micropigmentation. It is published periodically and contains Case Reports, News Updates, Vendor Advertisements, Recent Events of Importance to the Profession and highlights professionals who have made an outstanding contribution to micropigmentation. Legislative updates are also provided as available.
