Case Report: Dog Bite Scars Dry Needling and Camouflage

Selina Lam of Australia sent these photos of a 19 y/o female who had been bitten by a dog when she was 6 years old. Selina did several sessions of dry needling (see photo 2 above) at 4 week intervals. After healing, at about 3 months, she "cauterised the mole on lower lip and camouflage the scars and did a full lip PMU with 100% "Kiss Me" colour." Selina says it takes patience in these case but the results are beautiful. Procedure and Pain Control: Selina cleans the skin with alcohol and buffs the desired area. She then applies topical anesthetic cream and covers it with plastic wrap for 15 minutes. After the skin is broken she uses TAG #45 Gel and she says her clients have "no pain".
